Visit Shkodra, historic town. Start the day with a visit of Rozafa castle and museum. Located on a hilltop alongside Drino River. Enjoy a gorgeous view of the valley below. Rozafa castle has one of the saddest sacrifice stories of Albanian mythology! After the castle visit, take a trip to Shkodra old district and visit Marubi photo museum which displays some of the oldest photographs of Albania, writing the history without words. Continue the journey to Albania's capital, Tirana. Free to leisure during the evening. Dinner at the hotel or local restaurant in Tirana.
Start the day with a walking tour of Tirana through the Heroes bulevard, visiting the presidential palace, Mother Terisa square, main government buildings, Youth park, and Skanderbeg square at the center of Tirana.Continue the visit to Dajti Mountain. It offers numerous opportunities all year round for excursions and recreation. Its UN spoilt nature, attracts many visitors during all seasons. Dajti is also a National Park, rich in diversity of flora and fauna. You can enjoy the beautiful view from the cable car leads to nearly to the top of Dajti Mountain. This afternoon is free for you to explore Tirana’s lovely shops and boutiques.
Tour of historic town of Berat. Berat is called the city of one thousand windows because the way windows of homes appear on top of each other from the valley below. A stroll through the old district of Mangalemi (world heritage site) will take you to Berat Ethnographic house depicting indigenous life style during medieval and renaissance era, followed by a visit of the castle and Onufri museum. After a lunch at a traditional restaurant the journey continues through Albania's heartland on to coastal city of Vlora. Enjoy a magnificent sunset and evening in Vlora Harbor. Accomodation in Tirana.
After brakfast you will be transferred in Apollonia. Apollonia is one of the ancient colonies of the Greeks, dedicated to God Apollo. Founded in the turn of the 6th century BC by Greek colonist from Corinth and Corfu, Apollonia soon became one of the most important city-states in the eastern coast of the Adriatic Sea.
In antiquity it has been famous for the production of tasty wines, olive oil and for its philosophy school, where Emperor Augustus studied. There have been found objects from both Greek and Roman influence and today, in the remains of the mighty city that once stood, you can see many of the parts of the ancient Apollonia depicting both periods. It was so important that the Romans built a branch connection Via Egnatia to Apollonia, especially for Apollonia.
The city started losing its importance in 3rd century AD because of a destructive earthquake. Once you have visited the park and the museum of Apollonia you will have a traditional lunch (*optional) in a restaurant inside the park. After lunch you will be transferred in Tirana
Start the day with breath of Adriatic fresh air, and explore Albania's Capital during medieval ages Kruja town. Kruja was the epicenter of Albania before ottoman invasion in 15th century. Visit the castle and Skanderbeg museum followed by a visit of Kruja Ethnographic house, which displays the way indigenous people lived during Ottoman era. Lunch in Panorama restaurant in Kruja. Continue enjoying your afternoon in Tirana, visting its many boutique shops, farmers' market and lively nightlife. (*Optional, you can visit Dajti mountain top riding the longest cable car in Balkans)
